USA-IFK Kyokushin Karate
Real Karate.
Real Challenge.
Real Growth.
Welcome to the beginning of your Kyokushin journey.
USA-IFK is the official United States representative of the International Federation of Karate (IFK), carrying forward the authentic spirit and traditions of Kyokushin.
Established under the guidance of Hanshi Steve Arneil, a direct student of Sosai Mas Oyama, USA-IFK connects American dojos and students to a worldwide Kyokushin community built on discipline, perseverance, and personal growth.

What Is Kyokushin?
Kyokushin is a full-contact style of karate founded by Masutatsu Oyama. Known for powerful technique, rigorous conditioning, and knockdown kumite, it combines kihon, kata, and realistic fighting practice to develop technical precision, physical resilience, and a strong spirit.
What Kyokushin means—
Beyond technique, Kyokushin is a path of personal development grounded in discipline, humility, and perseverance. Students learn to face adversity, exceed perceived limitations, and pursue continual growth in both karate and life.
“One becomes a beginner after one thousand days of training and an expert after ten thousand days of practice” – Mas Oyama
