USA-IFK Kyokushin Members Attend Chicago Dojo Opening and Birthday Celebration for Shihan Leslaw Samitowski

On July 25, USA-IFK Kyokushin members Shihan Jerry Poe and Senpai Veronica Williams traveled to Chicago, Illinois, to represent USA-IFK Kyokushin President Shihan Michael Monaco at a special martial arts event, the birthday celebration of Shihan Leslaw Samitowski and the grand opening of his new Kanku Kyokushin Dojo.

The celebration brought together Kyokushin karateka from across the region for training, good food, and the close fellowship that defines the Kyokushin community. Attendees included friends, family members, and martial artists who had gathered to support both Shihan Samitowski's birthday and the new dojo’s opening. A memorable highlight of the day was the “birthday push-up challenge,” which saw participants exceed Shihan Samitowski’s age in push-ups.
